Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS) is a non-profit institution was established in 2067 BS. It was built on the concept that Nepalese wanted an imminent need to improve patient care system with Nepalese Army Medical corps which could be achieved by igniting medical potentialities oh health professionals with the academic institute of their own. The major need arose after the First World War; the institute was built after the martyred soldiers. It was the first hospital that introduced fiber optic endoscope services and establishes a semi-automatic pathology lab. NAIHS is financed by the Nepalese Army Welfare Fund and is managed by the Nepalese Army Welfare Planning Directorate. There are different colleges under this institute like the College of Medicine, College of Dental, etc. The institution runs courses like MBBS, MD/MS programs in various science subjects. Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS) aims to complete the exiting scarcity of young, caring and sentimental doctors in Nepal. Hostel accommodation is also of high quality. Well furnished rooms are provided to the students with all additional facilities like Wi-Fi, computer, separate showers, and toilet and many more. The course curriculum is of international standard.
