Volgograd State Medical University (VolGMU) is one of the oldest universities in the South of Russia. It was founded in 1935 as the Stalingrad Medical Institute. Since 2003 - in the status of a medical university. Today, VolGMU is one of the largest among medical and pharmaceutical universities in Russia, in terms of the number of students of various levels. Currently, VolGMU implements more than 1000 educational programs of all levels. VolGMU has wide international recognition - more than 5000 of its graduates work in 127 countries of the world.
