In the mid-90s, a visionary group comprising renowned entrepreneurs, esteemed medical professionals, dedicated educationalists, and socially recognized individuals, under the aegis of Lord Buddha Educational Academy (LBEA), the parent company, came together with a shared realization—the imperative need for excellence in Nepal's medical sector to foster holistic national development. This realization was not confined to words alone; it took the form of proactive action with the establishment of Nepalgunj Medical College (NGMC) in 1996. The college offers various programs, including MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BSc MIT, BSc MLT and postgraduate MD/MS courses. NGMC is affiliated with Kathmandu University and has well-equipped teaching hospital, with 550 beds in Kohalpur. The faculty consists of experienced and qualified professionals who are committed to providing excellent education.
